ONE (Organization for Nonprofit Executives) and
    AFP Greater Arizona Chapter present

"Creating the Optimal Fundraising Team – The Roles of the Board, CEO, and Development Staff"

with Richard Tollefson, Founder and President, The Phoenix Philanthropy Group. Panelists: Darlene Newsom, CEO, UMOM New Day Centers; Rick McCartney, President & CEO, InMedia; Marion K. Kelly, Director, Office for Community Affairs, Mayo Clinic; John Scola, CFRE, Chief Development Officer, Phoenix Rescue Mission

At its most effective, fundraising is a "Team Sport" with each member understanding his/her role.  Everyone –the Chairman of the Board or Board member, the CEO, and the Development staff – has a distinct, yet complementary role.  The entire team benefits when strengths are capitalized upon and weaknesses are overcome by others with shared goals and concerted effort.

All are welcome! Bring your Board members, CEOs, and Development staff members!

Relationship Fundraising - Where Do We Go From Here?

This webinar presents the key findings from a comprehensive review of the theory underpinning relationships fundraising. It presents the most relevant current thinking from marketing and social psychology and explores how it might be applied to fundraising. It also reveals what leading practitioners in the project's advisory group think are the biggest challenges facing this mode of fundraising.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will:

    • Understand how current academic theory supports the notion of relationship building
    • Identify some key concepts that could be applied to your fundraising
    • Assess your relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders in light of the challenges identified by the advisory group to determine if you could improve your fundraising by improving these relationships.

*This session is eligible for 1 hour of ACFRE Management or Ethics credit.
