You will also learn what your organization needs in order to successfully implement a new planned giving program, or to increase awareness of an existing effort.

Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are becoming more commonplace as many donors’ preferred method for supporting charitable causes. Nonprofit professionals sometimes struggle to find answers to several questions: How should these gifts be acknowledged? Can donor benefits be awarded to the individual(s) who started the DAF? Just how do DAFs work, and how do I talk with my organization’s donors about them? In this session, we will address the answers to these questions and more, with a goal of becoming more comfortable talking with donors about DAFs, and ensuring that our nonprofits and our donors stay clear of possible IRS problems!
