Program Description:

Michael Tucker will explore issues for Arizona trusts in light of the Windsor and Hollingsworth cases.  These cases have shaken fundamental assumptions about estate planning for nontraditional families.  Even more critical are the resulting policies being formulated by federal agencies, from the Pentagon and the Office of Personnel Management to the IRS and the Department of Labor.  This seminar will provide context for charitable planning giving for affected individuals and also cover beneficiary designations for IRAs and qualified plans in light of these cases and the emerging policies.
