Program Description:

We’d like to think we’ve become an enlightened society over the years – more aware of issues and solutions concerning the environment, child abuse, disasters, human disease, homelessness, animal rights, mental illness, education, the arts, and more.  Yet, despite a proliferation of nonprofit organizations and a growing level of fundraising professionalism and sophistication, Americans continue the 40-year trend of giving roughly two percent of their income to charitable causes.  This session will explore reasons for the stall-out and suggest fundamental remedies toward achieving even a modest gain to three percent giving.
